<p>The majority of the backups programs out there use
proprietary formats to store your files. That way, you will need an
extra utility which helps you recovery your files.</p>
<p>Cobian Backup on the other hand just copies
or compress your files using standard methods. </p>
<p>To recovery an uncompressed backup, just copy your
files back to the desired location.</p>
<p>To recovery a compressed backup, just uncompress
your files using your favorite program. Cobian Backup provides you
which a limited version of such a tool. You can find it under
Tools-Decompressor.</p>
<p>If you have encrypted your files, you need then to
use the provided Decryption tool (Tools -Decryptor and keys)
to decrypt your files.</p>
